Welcome to our new Foundation Website!
It has been long awaited and with the help of our community members and the surrounding community businesses, our Foundation was able to launch this new website to help all those who are in need.
Taking our cause to the public and being heard is our specific goal! Your Support can and will make a difference!
Everyone who is visually impaired knows the struggles we endure on a daily basis. Whether it is walking to the bathroom our out to an appointment, it can be a grueling task in and of itself. For those fortunate to have supportive family and friends, to those who are less fortunate... We are all together in one fact. That fact is that we live in a sighted community and it is designed specifically for them. Our impairment should not and does not have to be that, but a method to which each and every one of us can progress in our community and function as if we had sight is this foundations major goal.
Our Foundation
The Florida Foundation of and for The Blind was founded in 2010 to promote awareness in the Florida community of those who have visual impairments. We did this by public awareness groups and direct contact with senators and governors of the State of Florida that the visually impaired does not mean blind to things that have not been done for our specific needs. With the power of print and now the electronic media, our Foundation has grown in recognition with those who can actually make a difference. These facts and resources are now our tools we bring to the masses through this new website..
Our Goal
The Florida Foundation of and for The Blind, has a specific goal to help each and every person, who is visually impaired, live a healthy and stress free life. We know this cannot be achieved overnight and we know each person has unique needs.
